Best antivirus software for enterprise

For an enterprise, I’d avoid thinking of “antivirus” as just traditional AV. The better category is Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) + Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).

As of 2026, my shortlist would be:

If your company already has Microsoft 365 E5/E5 Security, Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft Sentinel, I'd seriously consider Defender before buying another endpoint product.

• Want aggressive automated remediation: SentinelOne

• Strong protection at a potentially lower total cost: Bitdefender GravityZone
